Our services are relaxed and joyful. Some congregants lift their hands to the Lord, some genuflect, some stand, some sit, some make signs of the cross. All worship in the style with which they are comfortable. Newcomers often tell us we are a most friendly church.

Dear Friends, Today is Maundy Thursday, the day we remember what Jesus asked us to remember when he broke bread with his disciples, whom he now calls friends.
It is likely that "Do this in remembrance of me" is the most obeyed of all Jesus' commands. On this day, Christians from every denomination under the sun will unite in the practice of what we call the Holy Eucharist. On this day bread will be broken in the great Basilicas and Cathedrals, and in the smallest of chapels and in house churches, grottoes, and even secretive caves, far from the gaze of authorities who would forbid it. Catholics, Protestants, Anabaptists, Dissenters, will do this in remembrance of Him. If your denomination does a daily Mass or a Communion just once a year, it will be done on this day,
Maundy Thursday opens the door to understanding of Jesus as friend. As this door opens, I wish you grace and peace and a blessed Easter.
Sincerely,
Fr. Michael Durning
